Frequently Asked Questions

    • First check that your Capitec ONLINE Banking is enabled.
      Then make sure you have a positive balance of at least R5.00 for Online Banking.
      (This balance is only on your banking profile for 3 days)
      Then try adding your card details again.

      NOTE the R1:00 validity charge will be refunded to your account.



    • ARRIVALS
      For all travellers flying into Cape Town International Airport, both Domestic and International
      We collect passengers in Parkade 2 . 20 mins Free parking
      Not the pick-up zone for E-hailing.
      WE strongly suggest the passenger calls you the driver using the "IN APP" feature to tell you when they have their bags.
      You can wait if you are early just outside of Parkade 2 on the left hand side or at the BP Garage if you have much longer to wait.
      If the passenger's flight is delayed any parking charges are for their account not ChaufHER's. Please present the ticket to them for paying but this should not be necessary.

      DEPARTURES
      We suggest all drivers DROP passengers in Parkade 2 where it is a short escaltor ride to the arrivals hall.
      This is a quieter option for travellers but is at the discretion of the driver and you can drop in the DROP and GO on the 1st level.
      its is also currently the SAFER option

      PLEASE BE ALERT AND AWARE WHEN GOING TO THE AIRPORT



    • Go into the ChaufHER Wallet
      Then select "Pay Me"
      Then select  "Bank Details"(right hand side)
      You can then click on the "pen" top right hand corner of the screen and edit the details so they are correct.
      Be sure to UPDATE the details before exiting the screen



    • ARRIVALS
      For all travellers flying into O.R, Tambo International Airport both Domestic and International Terminals
      We collect passengers at Lvl 2E - the E-hailing pick up area. We do not have designated area but have permission to pick up in this area.
      WE strongly suggest the passenger calls you the driver using the "IN APP" feature to tell you when they have their bags.
      You can wait if you are early at the Engen SkyStop petrol station if you have a much longer wait. You can then circle back to the Pick Up Zones.
      If the passenger's flight is delayed any parking charges are for their account not ChaufHER's. Please present the ticket to them for paying but this should not be necessary.

      DEPARTURES
      You can drop the passenger at International or Domestic Departures in the Drop Off Zone. There is no need to enter a Parkade.
      You may also drop the passenger at Level 2E, which is the E-hailing drop off area but you can discuss this with them on your ride especially if they have a return collection booked.


      Note: Did you know? You will be clamped if you leave your vehicle in a drop-off / pick-up zone (upper and lower roadways) unattended with an engine switched off or in any “NO PARKING ZONE".

    • Please be advised that we are a Female Driver for Female Passenger (boys 16 and under) transport solution.

      As Drivers you are not obliged in any way to carry male passengers.
      You are entitled to CANCEL a booked ride on arrival at the pick-up address, should a male passenger be present and indicate that they intend entering the vehicle.
      We suggest you take a photograph  for your records and ours and note this fact when cancelling the trip in the App.
      When you are in a safe place communicate with whoever is on duty that day so they can follow up with the passenger who will most likely have al;ready reported the cancellation to ChaufHER.

      ChaufHER is very strict on this point and when in instances where there will be a male passenger present we will always notify and ask permission of the driver first. There may be instances, like elderly couples or vunerable males where they have specifically asked for a solution from us but it is NOT the norm and it should never be assumed that the male passenger has been verified by us.
